When you do things that’s different to your usual life…

As a family, we visited a goat farm over a weekend. I have grown up in urban areas most of my life, country lifestyle never attracted me.

Over a weekend for a recreational purpose, we have decided to visit a goat farm. It was about 30 minutes drive from home. That’s how close it was. Visiting this farm included a tour around the farm. We learn from different breed of goat, feeding a baby goat to their adulthood to milking a goat. We have learnt the different nutrition content of goat milk in comparison to cow milk. We have learnt the differences between gelato and ice cream.

Every new experience brings its own maturity and a greater clarity of vision.

Visiting a goat farm was doing something different to my usual life. It was expanding my comfortable zone. What have I realised? Expanding my comfortable zone broadened my vision. It made alienated concepts to uncomfortable concepts, a step closer to familiarity.

A mind hat is stretched by a new experience can never go back to its old dimensions.

Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr.

I guess, my curiosity won over my uncomfortable reality. The specialty of this goat farm attracted my curiosity: Why goats? It was interesting to learn its nutrition content and other important facts about how to support local farm.

When something is new to us, we treat it as an experience.

We feel that our senses are awake and clear.

We are alive.

Jasper Johns

What are you experiencing today?
How are you bringing alienated concepts closer to you?
Do you feel alive?
